Introduction
Throughout recorded history, stories have been reported concerning certain individuals who have led what seemed to be “charmed lives.” Some survived under miraculous circumstances while others have been killed.
Most of these individuals have not been well known. On the other hand, some were famous. However, almost without exception, all of them who have experienced exceptions to death have not realized what has happened until many years later.
Some, like Napoleon Bonapart, who in the heat of battle was never touched by sword or bullet. Likewise, George Washington, reportedly had horses shot out from under him. In at least in one instance, was reported to have had bullet holes through his cloak. Yet, he was unscathed.
Movie star Audie Murphy of World War II fame won almost every combat medal the United States awarded including the Congressional Medal of Honor. Yet, he survived time and again in situations fatal to thousands of others. Many other individuals who experienced similar miraculous escapes from death a few times will probably always be unknown. However, there are a very few of us who escaped death repeatedly over a great number of years.
Do we, or did we, have a mission to fulfill? Are there really guardian angels?
